Bargi Dam is one of the first completed Dams in chain of 30 proposed dams to be built on Narmada River. Its reserved water is used for Hydropower generation and irrigation purpose. Construction of Bargi Dam started on 1974 and completed on year 1990. Its height is 69mtr. and length is 5.4 km.

One can enjoy Cruise ride, motor boat ride, speed boat ride in reservoir water. Those who are traveling from Jabalpur to Kanha National Park or vice versa, can do en- route visit of Bargi Dam.
