Bargi dam

Bargi Dam located 40/45km from Jabalpur is built on River Narmada. There is a resort named ‘Maikal Resort’ which serves some good food and a marvellous view for you to enjoy. There is also a small garden for kids with some swings, seesaw, slides and ore. You could also enjoy some water sports and have fun on the cruise. Some good music and people dancing along add more fun to it. The cruise runs from 10a.m to 6p.m. The best time I feel is around 5 p.m to 6 p.m. when the sun is settling behind the water. The sky turns reddish orange and the birds are flying to their home leaving everyone awestruck from the beauty of nature.

Bhedaghat

We don’t doubt when someone says Bhedaghat is the best place in Jabalpur. Indeed it is. It’s striking marble rock which is 100feet high. A beautiful waterfall giving us an enchanting view. You could stand there for hours and just adore the beauty of nature in the best possible way. You can also take a boat ride between the marble rocks. And the guide/sailor will add a little bit of humour in your trip by telling some stories.

Also, take a ride of the ropeway. It will take you to the new bhedaghat but the best part of the ropeway is when you look down and there so much to see that’ll make your heart skip a beat.

Dumna Nature Reserve

Dumna Nature Park is an another good destination where you can enjoy with your family. A large variety of flora and fauna gives you a feel of being so close to nature. A walk in the park makes your heart please. You could go there early morning and enjoy bird watching and some spotted deer. Khandari dam offers a great view there. Then there is kalchuri cafe which offers some food and drinks for you to enjoy.

Lamheta Ghat

Thanks to river Narmada we have so many places we can go just to admire the beauty of nature. Lamheta Ghat is an another place located on the banks of river Narmada. There is a beautiful waterfall. In monsoon, you can see multiple waterfalls which take your heart. There are also temples located near it. And a famous Shanakarki Maharaji mandir Parisar where there are some temples they have maintained a beautiful garden where you can walk through while visiting the temples.

Bhavartal

If you are not in a mood to drive and take your family far away then bhavartal that is located at the centre of Jabalpur could be a great option for you. The bhavartal garden is so developed now that it won’t disappoint you and your family in any way. Greenery all around, some swings, slide, a small tree tower, fountains,  a lot and lot place to play. What else you need. You can lay in the grass for hours and hours and feel the breeze around. See children running around and enjoy to their fullest.
